Ajax hoopte Jan Vertonghen in januari terug te halen naar Amsterdam, maar de verdediger van Tottenham Hotspur is te duur bevonden. Het zal moeten blijken of de Belgische verdediger later deze maand of komende zomer alsnog in de prijscategorie valt. Voor de fans van de Londense club is één ding echter duidelijk: hij is klaar bij de ‘Spurs’.

De Tottenham-fans vegen op sociale media massaal de vloer aan met Vertonghen gedurende het FA Cup-duel met Middlesbrough. Vooral zijn gebrek aan snelheid komt ter sprake…
